Representatives from the health, education, and business sectors worldwide
gathered in New Zealand for the 2004 5 A Day International Symposium August
8-10. The purpose of this event was to exchange ideas and information
on how to increase the consumption of fruits and vegetables for better health.
This
year, the Symposium attracted more than 200 delegates from a wide
range of countries, hosting representatives from leading health, fruit and
vegetable marketing organizations, retail supermarkets, food processing, distribution,
and food service organizations.
