Home plate is heaped with 5 A Day messaging, thanks to a partnership between
PBH and the Wilmington, Del.-based Blue Rocks baseball team. PBH and this local
favorite team worked together to promote increased fruit and vegetable consumption
for better health during special games in August.
Throughout the season, sports
fans enjoyed video board announcements featuring the 5 A Day The Color Way
logo; these spots taught fans about the health benefits of fruits and vegetables,
and at the same time created 5 A Day The Color Way awareness. The Blue Rocks
also wore special “Mr. Celery” uniforms to honor Wilmington’s
unique mascot and to promote healthy eating; the autographed game-worn uniforms
were then auctioned and raffled off, with all proceeds benefiting PBH.
